We’re “Drop-ing” Eventivize: CTM 2021
We've deployed the Eventivize Drop App at three separate events since October: Massv Halloween Weekend, Azimuth Voyage in mid-December, and Zero Point One's New Years Celebration.
After getting a few test-runs under our belt, listening to suggestions, and making some tweaks, we are ready for CTM Festival 2021 — Transformation! We look forward to the CTM Drop App's official launch during the CTM music program that begins today, January 22nd. Read our entire blog post about testing Eventivize here!
Eventivize @ CTM 2021 Transformation
We're proud to be collaborating with CTM Festival, where we are first officially implementing Eventivize with the CTM Drop App. Our partnership is making our vision of alternative ways to value and monetize online music performances and art come to life!
CTM Festival’s music program started today and continues until the end of the month. You won't want to miss it!
CTM ◊ Drops are funded by 100% of the proceeds collected from purchases of the CTM Solidarity Festival Pass, and by festival sponsors Ableton and HAU Hebbel am Ufer. The monetary value of an individual ◊ Drop is not fixed. It is a relational value, meaning that the value of a Drop = the total money collected / total number of ◊Drops emitted at the festival. After the festival, each participating artist will receive additional income (on top of their artist fee) based on the number of ◊ Drops they have received. Unused ◊ Drops will be equally split between all participating artists. The CTM Drop App developed by Ape Unit/Eventivize is an exploration of alternative ways to value and monetize online music performance and art, and aims to offer the public different ways to financially support artists. Various use cases are possible, and we invite everyone interested to try it out and get in touch if you wish to contribute ideas to further development.
Join our Meetup event on Monday evening!
We're having a small virtual "insights" talk on Eventivize this Monday, January 25th, doing a product demo around our CTM Festival Drop App, and hosting a Q&A session. You're invited! Please share this event with anyone who might want to learn more about what we've been doing and how Eventivize has progressed.
You can RSVP and find all the details of the event here: https://www.meetup.com/Ape-Unit/events/275701942/
We hope to see you there!
The Tech Behind Eventivize Drops
Behind the Eventivize Drop App is a database that tracks how many drops each user has. More specifically, it's a blockchain, based on the Cosmos blockchain, like Binance Coin and Crypto.com
But why are we using a blockchain at all? Read our blog post by Andrew Chiw, to learn more.
